The Story Behind Verita Heritage
“Verita” was inspired by the idea of truth — truth in how we live, what we value, and what we choose to bring into our homes.
Growing up, my abuelita had remedios for what seemed like everything. If you had a sore stomach, she would quickly boil herbs from the kitchen that always brought comfort. Those traditions stayed with me into adulthood, and today I still keep many of her simple practices close to my heart when caring for my own family.
I’m grateful I was raised watching her make things by hand and learning that care, nourishment, and tradition were part of everyday life. Now, as a mother myself, I hope to pass those same values and traditions down to my children so our culture and heritage continue for generations to come.
My grandmother’s influence sparked my interest in ancestral ingredients and traditional wellness practices. Later, after struggling to find gentle products that worked well for our NICU daughter and our son’s sensitive skin, we began creating nourishing products inspired by those traditions and the belief that what we use on our bodies should be made with care.
What guides us
Our daughter’s time in the NICU taught us what it means to trust God when you cannot see the outcome. It changed the way we viewed life, parenthood, and the responsibility of caring well for the people entrusted to us.
